Useful Paleo Sites

Information & Blogs

  • The Paleo Diet | Dr. Loren Cordain
Read Dr. Cordain’s book. No, seriously, read his book titled “The Paleo Diet” so that you’ll fully understand WHY you want to be eating like a caveman, and that this is not some dangerous fad diet that will leave you back where you started in a week or two. The Website is also full of very useful nutrition information as well as a distillation of the dietary “rules” and other information that is present in Dr. Cordain’s books.
  • Nerd Fitness: Helping You Lose Weight, Get Stronger, Live Better
A fun and light hearted blog with a nerdy twist that nonetheless has lots of good practical advice not only about living it Paleo style, it also has articles on a variety of other subjects dealing with fitness, goals, and other life stuff that you’ll find will be worth your time to read. Sign up for an account and you’ll be given access to Steve Kamb’s Beginner’s Guide to the Paleo Diet e-book.

Recipes

  • The Detoxinista
Paleo Friendly recipies from a very creative young lady who has managed to hide green vegetables in some of the most decadent looking desserts. ANd for those of us who like bigger pancakes, but can’t make them without flour, her baked pancake idea works a treat!!
  • Elana’s Pantry
One of my favourite Paleo-friendly websites. In a nutshell, this lovely lady really KNOWS how to cook. She’s provided a website filled with lot’s of really easy recipes for even the worst 10-thumbed chef. Even better, you’ll be able to create really nutritious meals without compromising on flavour. The website does seem to have a lot of recipes geared more around celiac -friendly meals rather than being “strictly” Paleo, however it’s pretty easy to spot anything that might be a problem for you, and substituting ingredients rarely seems to impact the quality of the recipe.
  • It’s Paleo
Provides you with a search engine for Paleo recipes, information about fitness, diet & lifestyle tips, meal plans, and other useful information to help simplify eating Paleo.
